This project was an amalgamation of 6 primary schools along the banks of the Whanganui River
The project was winner of the 2012 NZIA Western Branch Award (Education).
The old Awa school building became the point where these schools combined. Our ‘knowledge basket' idea lends itself to the processional flow of the building, whereby the architectural features inform and influence the sequence of events and the views and experiences from each new ‘moment' discovered.
