We designed the redevelopment of the Timaru Courthouse
The redevelopment involved building a new addition to the rear of the existing courthouse.
The original courtroom wasn’t large enough to cope with a modern day jury trial. The extension includes two courtrooms, two mediation rooms, and administration and public spaces. The new building can cater for jury trials, with jury retirement rooms.
